Lanice

Vase covers from 'Tint. Folded colors' collection

Fancy or simple, from a florist or picked from a garden: a bouquet of flowers does not always find its place in a suitable vase. A glass jar or any old container can be useful but in no way magnifies the beauty of nature. This series of vase covers offers a setting for flowers without renouncing the humility of the glass jar. It just covers it up, right side up or upside down. The bouquet blooms in the wide opening of the vase, or emerges from this colorful column. Perhaps this is because of the name of this series but also, in a way, its shape comes from a small sea worm (Lanice conchilega) which creates a tube through the sand to filter the water and which ends in a kind of palm tree. Here, far from the sea, but still with the same organic vocabulary, color sublimates even the simplest of bouquets.
