Drop the mask

Masks usually hide the wearer's face, changing his/her true identity to that of a hero, animal or spirit. The recent Covid-19 crisis has led us all to protect ourselves behind a mask, as a barrier against a virus, but also against others seen as a potential danger. Only our eyes emerged from our faces and expressions.
 
FACÉTIE takes the opposite direction from the mask-barrier, replacing it with openness, invitation and enhancement of each individual. An oval surrounds a face that deserves our full attention, and frames our emotions. Adorned with feathers, it projects us into an animist universe as well as that of childhood and its games. The branches that held it to our ears, once folded back, finally form an object that, hanging on the wall, continues to look at us.
